Tributes paid to rail-death teen

(icNewcastle) Friends and family of tragic teenager Grant Cherry have paid heart-warming tributes to the “canniest lad goin” on a memorial website. The 15-year-old from Low Fell, Gateshead, died after apparently standing on rail tracks in the path of an oncoming train. Scores of grieving pals from Joseph Swan School, where Grant was a pupil, have logged onto the online tribute site Gonetoosoon.co.uk to pay their respects to their friend who was a “belta kid”.
