One Month Anniversary
I can’t believe that it’s been a month since our debut at Next Web in Amsterdam. The time has flown past and the site is evolving into a home for many of us.
For the many of you who’ve wondered but have not asked…yes I am a real person. Living and breathing and my name really is Martha. I am the first point of human contact for new members to Respectance. I am your first friend when you join, I email you after you join, and I often comment on your new posts or tributes.
When we started Respectance we had several things in mind. I envisioned a site that was warm and welcoming. Richard wanted us to have the first ‘human’ face in social networking. Todd wanted us to help people share stories about their loved one’s lives.
As the “hostess” of Respectance I’ve had a chance to get to know many of you, and to read your stories. I also hear what you want from the site and pass that information on to the techies – I like to think of Marcin as a “Miracle Man”.
I am inspired by your stories and Tributes as I’m sure your friends are. I hope that we can celebrate many more milestones together. I will keep sharing my stories, and Respectance’s with you.
So one final time – Thank You to all of you who have helped us get the site off the ground, and for your support as we grow. If a month has resulted in so many changes, then it sure will be interesting to look back a year from now with you. I look forward to hearing from all of you–and to our official launch in late July!
