Respectance Groups, meeting others
Did you know that here in Respectance we also have Groups? Groups are places where community members of common interests or needs join together to communicate on site. Often times community members create a group that is relevant to a holiday or occasion. For example: One member created a group to talk about “Holiday Blues: The Empty Seat” it is a group where other community members can talk about how they deal with their losses around the holidays or how to carry on new family traditions.
If you haven’t already, join a Group! This is a great place to meet new people and share ideas, companionship or even stories about loved ones.

Sad Weekend for Music Fans
I logged into my computer this morning and I was pretty shocked to see that 52-year-old Kevin DuBrow of the 80s band “Quiet Riot” had died. I’ve gotten a lot of feedback today from other users who also had a special place for this band in their hearts. It’s always hard to hear of some one passing that was a part of your growing up. I personally remember quite fondly the beginning of the MTV Era and bands like Quiet Riot were all the fad with their Glam Rock.

Happy Thanksgiving: Remembering and Connecting
For those of us who have lost someone, Thanksgiving can be both happy and sad. It’s a blessing to spend time with the loved ones we do have, but it can also be sad knowing that there will be one empty chair at the table.
As the nights get longer and colder, celebrate those you’ve lost and share with those you love. Whether you’re with friends, family or enjoying a relaxing dinner on your own, Respectance wishes you a Happy Thanksgiving. We are so thankful that you continue to share your stories with us.
To leave celebrate someone you love this Thanksgiving visit the Empty Seat Blues tribute.

Heartfelt Thanks!
We apologize for the disruption in service these past 2 days and we really appreciate your sticking with us in what has been a whirlwind week. Rackspace, our Data Center in Dallas is one of the most reliable in the world; however, on Monday a truck collision
took down their cooling system and our site in the process.
This has been a truly humbling experience and we thank you for your support. You are so important and our team has worked around the clock to restore Respectance for you.
We are honored that you continue to share your life with us and we are so grateful for your trust. We know that your tributes are a labor of love. Please contact us at support@respectance.com or toll-free at 1-866-530-7450 and we would be happy to help should you have any questions.
Thank you for your patience and for allowing us to do what we love for a living.

Remembering our Veterans: Contest & Updates
November 11th we celebrate Veterans Day. Veteran’s day is an American holiday honoring military veterans. It is celebrated the same day as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day in other parts of the world, falling on November 11, the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I.
Here at Respectance we celebrate Veterans Day through our Tribute to Veterans Day. We also have groups for Military Support and Iraq, where you can add to any of the already existing topics or create your own topic. If you or anyone you know have lost a loved one who proudly served, we encourage you to either Create a Tribute or share their story through one of our wonderful groups.
Also I’m eager to announce that Respectance is hosting our first Contest! The prize is a 20″ x 8″ temporary memorial. It can be etched with a picture of your loved one and can serve as memorial for a gravesite while you wait for the more permanent headstone to be completed, or for any other usage you could imagine. It is easy to enter!
To enter you can either: Create a tribute to add to the Military Support or Iraq groups or by Participating in group discussion in either group. You can also invite friends to Respectance to join our community and take part in this current contest.
Other events will also come in the future, so be on the look out here for more information on offers, contests and more exciting news around Respectance!
*Thank you to Roadside Memory for sponsoring this Veteran’s Day Tribute.
