Giving your heart to another

Working at Respectance has brought many stories to our eyes. Of course, we are following what all these families are writing. At the same time we follow the world news to give a place to people that sadly made it there.

The story of Doujon is really heartbreaking. This young Australian got attacked in a club in Greece. He refused to give his passport. This eventually led to his death, after being taken to hospital from the club.
Before he died, this young Australian’s family agreed to give his heart to a fellow Aussie who was also in a hospital in Greece. In need of a heart.

He refused to give his passport under pressure. Though at free will he gave his heart to another person. What more can we say about this young man? If there is a heaven, he is on a throne there now.

His act was a beautiful one. We should all be certain to give our consent to organ donor programs as they benefit so many others.

My sister received a kidney from an accident vicitm and has gone on to live for an additional 5 years. Thank you to all the people who give this gift of life.

Trading organs is wrong. We should keep our own and not share them. That’s how mad cow got started, giving cows other cow parts.

@ Mel, you are nuts. Once we are dead why shouldn’t we give the gift of life to someone else? Let’s hope you never need a blood transfusion or and organ transplant.

Have your say
